About the Role
As a Software Developer I (Android), you will join a collaborative and agile engineering team focused on building, maintaining, and scaling features for Tripadvisor’s Android application. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to develop intuitive, performant mobile experiences that impact global travelers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features in the Android app for millions of users worldwide
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering peers to iterate on user-centric features
- Uphold clean code principles, write maintainable code, and promote best practices in Android development
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code reliability and performance
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates with 0–3 years of professional experience in Android app development are eligible
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience
- Open to recent graduates and early-career professionals from the Batch of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025
Technical Skills Required
Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, GraphQL, Server Driven UI, Agile, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Reactive Programming, Multi-module Architecture, REST APIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Kotlin-based Android development
- Exposure to Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines
- Understanding of architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks
- Experience working with server-driven UI components and GraphQL APIs
- Demonstrated creativity and a user-focused mindset
