About the Role:
Super.com is seeking a Software Engineering Intern (12 Months) to join our engineering team in Canada. This is a remote internship offering competitive pay between CA$34.50/hr – CA$40/hr.
You will work on innovative projects in travel, fintech, and our superapp membership, handling high-volume systems that process millions in transactions daily while maintaining exceptional uptime. This role will provide hands-on experience with both frontend and backend development in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technically challenging projects from start to finish in an iterative development environment
- Contribute meaningfully to business growth and directly see the impact of your work on user experience and company metrics
- Take ownership of features, services, caches, and databases including deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing
- Write production-ready, well-tested code from the first week
- Make data-driven decisions, running experiments for almost every feature launched
- Work across multiple services and codebases, handling both frontend and backend tasks
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 8 months of web development work experience, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment
- Experience with at least one modern frontend JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular)
- Familiarity with backend development and web servers
- Quick learner who adapts to new languages and technologies
- Proven ability to take ownership and deliver features end-to-end
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical reasoning
- Interest in working on both frontend and backend components
Education Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered
