About the Role:
SAP is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Cloud Engineer Intern to join the SAP Internship Experience Program (iXp) at our Vancouver office. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud operations, automation, and service management while working with a globally distributed team. Interns will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing cloud services that support mission-critical enterprise software solutions.
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern – Cloud Engineer
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (On-site)
Start Date: 2 September 2025
Contract Duration: 8 Months
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Department: Information Technology

Key Responsibilities:
- Provision, monitor, and operate cloud services in collaboration with a global team
- Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve incidents
- Implement continuous improvements to increase service quality and uptime
- Collaborate with local product development teams to design and enhance cloud services
- Create automation tools for testing, deployment, scalability, management, and monitoring
- Ensure infrastructure reliability and customer satisfaction for SAP Cloud for Analytics
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated (within 6 months of start date) from, one of the following programs:
- Coding academy or bootcamp
- Apprenticeship
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, JD, or PhD degree program
- Able to commit to a full-time, 8-month internship beginning September 2025
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Functional proficiency in English is required
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Technical Skills Required:
JavaScript, C++, Java, C, SQL, NoSQL, Git, Subversion, Perforce, DNS, TCP/IP, Apache, Load Balancing, RESTful services, OData, SAML SSO, in-memory databases, cloud monitoring, automation, networking fundamentals
