About the Role:
QuadReal Property Group is seeking a passionate and skilled Data Engineer Intern for the Fall 2025 term (4-month duration) based in Toronto. As a Data Engineering Intern on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that powers data-driven decisions across the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric, automation tools, and cloud-based data systems within a dynamic professional environment.
You will work closely with the Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team, supporting high-impact projects that drive value to business users. This is a rare opportunity to learn real-world data engineering while building long-term industry connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and operating a next-gen cloud data platform using Microsoft Fabric.
- Create and manage scalable data pipelines with tools such as dltHub and Apache Airflow.
- Automate infrastructure and processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Help implement and monitor data quality and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track platform observability and data quality metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive enterprise-wide data governance and standardization.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (college/university) and returning to studies after internship completion.
- Students in official co-op programs fulfilling a final mandatory work term are also eligible.
- Open to students in Canada pursuing Fall 2025 internships.
Education Requirement:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
