Overview of the Role
Interac Corp. is looking for a highly motivated Technical Analyst Intern to join its hybrid team in Toronto from September to December 2025. As part of the Enterprise Architecture & Governance team, the intern will help design real-world solutions, improve architecture practices, and work alongside agile teams to support technical enhancements across Interac’s platforms.
This is a full-time internship (Monday to Friday) ideal for students interested in software development, enterprise architecture, and technical analysis.
About the Role:
You will work under the guidance of the Senior Principal, Enterprise Architect, contributing across functional teams to:
- Design and build proof-of-concept solutions
- Automate workflows and enhance internal tools such as Confluence
- Analyze existing architecture practice processes
- Build reports and gather insights from internal interviews
- Support agile teams on platform improvements
- Collaborate on ongoing solution initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop automation tools and Confluence plug-ins
- Analyze and document enterprise architecture workflows
- Create and present reports for the architecture and governance teams
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to find process improvement opportunities
- Assist agile teams with implementing enhancements to Interac’s systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support solution delivery
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled in a recognized university or college program
- Fields of study include:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology or Systems
- Software/Computer Engineering
- Or a related discipline
- Internship period: September–December 2025
- Workstyle: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
- Location: Toronto
- Availability: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Technical Skills Required:
Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Oracle, Azure RDBMS, MongoDB, Atlassian, Confluence, Jira, Software Design Patterns
Preferred Qualifications:
- Confident coder with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and within diverse teams
- Effective verbal and written communication, especially technical writing
- Curious mindset with ability to quickly adopt new technologies
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Experience or familiarity with:
- Single Page Applications
- Front-end development tools
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- Agile methodologies
- Co-op or internship in a technical role (preferred but not required)
Education Requirement:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Diploma program in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Information Technology
- Or related technical field
