About the Role:
As a Junior SDET, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards through automated and manual testing, supporting software development teams with robust QA practices, and participating actively in Agile ceremonies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve deployment issues, and contribute to the development of scalable testing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and execute automated functional and regression tests
- Transform manual tests into scalable automation scripts
- Participate in grooming and sprint planning with product and dev teams
- Maintain and configure automation frameworks across environments
- Collaborate with deployment teams to resolve bugs and ensure testability
- Contribute to user story reviews and provide feedback on clarity and completeness
- Log bugs in JIRA with detailed documentation and reproduction steps
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate automation tasks
- Work with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA
- Conduct API and database testing (SQL/NoSQL)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in test automation
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes
- Passionate about debugging, testing, and improving software quality
- Ability to work remotely with occasional in-person team meetings
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
