About the Role
AMD is hiring a passionate Software Development Engineer to join a highly skilled team focused on optimizing performance for key applications and benchmarks. You’ll work closely with industry experts and utilize cutting-edge hardware and software platforms to build next-generation computing experiences across PCs, AI, gaming, and embedded systems.
This role requires deep technical expertise in multimedia technologies, low-level programming, and problem-solving to develop, debug, and enhance software supporting AMD’s latest innovations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance based on product specifications and hardware core IPs
- Define and track milestone deliverables across development phases
- Design and implement multimedia features that support new hardware, software, and OS specifications
- Reproduce, debug, and resolve complex firmware, driver, or application-level issues in specific hardware/software environments
- Develop test applications and quality assurance frameworks for rigorous performance validation
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline
- Strong understanding of multimedia technologies and video codec architectures
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Experience with low-level hardware-software interfacing
Eligible Batch: 2023, 2024, 2025 graduates (freshers and professionals with relevant skills are welcome)
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in Canada
