Overview
Amazon is hiring Front-End Engineers for 2025 across multiple U.S. locations. As a Front-End Engineer, you will help shape the user experience for millions of Amazon customers worldwide. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers, build scalable UI systems, and contribute to full software development lifecycles.
About the Role:
As a Front-End Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for developing user-facing applications and enhancing the user experience through clean, efficient, and maintainable code. You will collaborate with software engineers, UX designers, and product managers to build high-performance, scalable solutions across Amazon’s platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain front-end components with a focus on performance and user experience
- Translate feature specifications into clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Work closely with UX teams and stakeholders to implement elegant and usable interfaces
- Participate in daily team stand-ups and peer code reviews
- Support operational excellence by troubleshooting issues and identifying root causes
- Contribute to the improvement of engineering best practices
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have earned a Bachelor’s degree or higher between October 2023 and Fall 2025
- Graduates within the last 24 months are also eligible
- Possible start dates range between January 2025 and October 2025
- Open to applicants across the United States including, but not limited to, Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Atlanta, GA
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Technical Skills Required:
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Vue, UI/UX Design, Python, C#, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior technical internship experience in front-end, full-stack, or web development
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue
- Demonstrated customer-focused mindset and problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles and tools
